Botox Wrinkle Treatment
Botox is a popular skin-rejuvenation treatment that reduces early signs of skin aging. At Aesthetic Plastic Surgery North Shore, Dr. Anoush Hadaegh provides Botox treatment in North Shore, MA, to treat fine facial lines and wrinkles.
Aging, gravity, stress, and other factors are common causes of facial lines and wrinkles. However, fine lines and wrinkles also frequently develop through repetitive muscle contraction. These are known as dynamic lines or expression lines. When it comes to treating these expression lines, Botox is highly effective.

“Five star, from Dr. Hadaegh, to his office staff and operating room staff….fantastic! I look better now then I did 10 years ago!”
Am I a Good Candidate?
Patients with shallow facial lines and wrinkles due to muscle contraction are the best candidates for Botox treatment. Candidates must have realistic expectations and must not be allergic to Botox. Candidates who are willing to follow skincare recommendations can delay the future effects of skin aging.
Patients with moderate to severe facial wrinkles should consider other skin-rejuvenation treatments like dermal fillers. A consultation is necessary to determine if a patient is suitable for Botox.
Your Consultation
During your consultation with Dr. Hadaegh, he will listen to your facial skin concerns and goals. He will perform a skin examination to assess your facial lines and wrinkles.
If you are suitable for Botox injections, Dr. Hadaegh will create a personalized treatment plan. He will explain all details of the plan, including preparation, aftercare, and your potential results. Any questions you may raise during the consultation will be answered by Dr. Hadaegh.
How do I prepare for a botox session?
Preparing for a botox session involves having a consultation with Dr. Hadaegh. He will provide you with pre-surgery instructions, including lifestyle adjustments to make sure you’re ready for your procedure.
The Procedure
Botox is a neuromodulator made from botulinum toxin type A. Neuromodulators block the nerve signals that cause muscle contraction. By injecting Botox into a muscle, it blocks the nerve signals, allowing stiff muscles to return to their ideal resting state. This results in the reduction of dynamic lines in the skin. Botox can be used in various facial areas, including the forehead, chin, around the eyes, and between the brows. However, it is not suitable for treating moderate to harsh midface lines.
The Botox session can be done within 20 minutes. The treatment area will be cleansed, and then the injection sites will be marked. A topical anesthetic may be administered for the patient’s comfort. Dr. Hadaegh will then administer controlled amounts of Botox into the injection sites.
