How Do Mommy Makeovers Work?
Mommy makeovers are composed of a wide variety of different procedures and treatments depending on the specific needs of each patient. In general, the procedure focuses on restoring the body of the patient to how it used to look before the patient gave birth. This can include removing excess skin and fat and tightening up the thighs, hips, breasts, and arms. It can also involve the removal of stretch marks. The particular procedures chosen will be decided during a consultation based on the needs of the patient. Why Do People Get Mommy Makeovers?
Pregnancy, childbirth, and breastfeeding can lead to dramatic changes to the body. Even with great dieting and exercise, oftentimes it is nearly impossible to restore a youthful pre-pregnancy body. After pregnancy, the majority of people experience stretching of abdominal muscles and loose skin in the breasts, abdomen, and thighs. Also, some might notice lost volume in the breasts and new fat in the belly, thighs, and back. To correct all of these issues during the course of a single surgical session, a mommy makeover is recommended. This package of plastic surgery procedures is fully customizable to ensure that each patient can get the results they desire.Your Mommy Makeover Consultation
When patients come in for a consultation for a mommy makeover, they will be asked about their specific concerns and what they hope to achieve with the procedures. Their health will also be discussed, along with any pertinent medical procedures that they have undergone. During this period, patients will be given details about which procedures will be available to them and what these techniques can offer. Any concerns or questions can be answered during this point, as well.

Procedures That Can Be Included
Starting from the top, a breast lift is usually performed to lift and tighten the breast tissues. Some prefer to instead have more fullness and volume to their breasts. This can be achieved with breast augmentation using implants or fat grafting. An abdominoplasty, or tummy tuck, is a great procedure to address excess skin, loose abdominal muscles, excess fat, and certain stretch marks. In addition, liposuction of the sides in conjunction with a tummy tuck provides a smooth hourglass figure. There are few areas of the body that are very resistant to fat reduction, regardless of exercise and diet, like the inner thighs, back, and sides. Liposuction is a great treatment that significantly improves the contours of many areas of the body.Mommy Makeover Aftercare
Depending on which procedures the patient chose for their mommy makeover, recovery can take between three weeks and several months. Patients will be provided medication for any pain and to prevent infection. Plenty of rest will also be recommended, and full recovery is advised before returning to their regular activities.Contact Us for Your Consultation
