“I am so pleased with the results of my eyelid and brow surgery”

“I am so pleased with the results of my eyelid and brow surgery. I hadn’t even realized how limited my viewing field had become. The doctor and staff were friendly, concerned, and always prompt. I wish I had known about this possibility before this year.”

Am I a Good Candidate?

A brow lift is appropriate for patients who want to improve the appearance of the face. Patients with realistic goals are ideal candidates. Dr. Hadaegh will also determine if you are a good candidate during your consultation.  Some patients choose to have other procedures in combination with their brow lift. Liposuctionface liftneck lift, and eyelid lift are all procedures that, when done along with a brow lift, provide a more comprehensive facial makeover. Combination procedures can be done safely and take full advantage of the recovery period.

Your Brow Lift Consultation

During your brow lift consultation, Dr. Hadaegh will answer any of your questions, discuss your goals and concerns, and will present all of your treatment options. Your eligibility for a brow lift will be based on your goals, overall health, medical history, and a thorough physical examination. This examination will also ensure that Dr. Hadaegh can best customize your treatment plan. A comprehensive review of your medical history will be done to ensure a clear understanding of any potential contraindications or health considerations related to the procedure

How to Prepare for surgery

To prepare for your brow lift surgery, you need to have a consultation with Dr. Hadaegh. During your consultation, he will ask you about your medical history and any other surgeries or procedures you may have had. It is important to tell him about any medications you take as well. This includes NSAIDs like aspirin and ibuprofen, and any other blood-thinning medications, as these can increase the risk of bleeding.  In the days leading up to your surgery, Dr. Hadaegh may ask you to stop consuming certain medications, along with tobacco and alcohol. Follow his advice carefully to ensure your safety and set yourself up for a smooth recovery.

Before your surgery, you should arrange for family, a friend, or another trusted individual to transport you to and from the hospital.

The Procedure

Your brow lift procedure will begin with anesthesia administration to ensure your comfort. Dr. Hadaegh may use either general anesthesia, which puts you into a sleep-like state, or local anesthesia to numb the forehead area, depending on the specific technique chosen for your procedure.

After the anesthesia takes effect, your surgeon will create incisions along your hairline. Through these incisions, they will carefully adjust the underlying tissues and selectively remove portions of muscle and skin that contribute to forehead wrinkles and frown lines.

Once the necessary adjustments are complete, Dr. Hadaegh will carefully close the incisions using sutures or surgical staples. They will then apply protective bandages and padding over the surgical site to safeguard the incisions during initial healing.
