The Brazilian buttock lift removes unwanted fat from other parts of the body and reinjects it into the buttock area. This use of your body’s own fat fills in dimpling and creates a rounder and more elevated look.
In individuals who have lost a significant amount of weight, the buttocks may become deflated and saggy looking. A patient with these issues would benefit from a traditional buttock lift. With a traditional buttock lift, excess skin is removed, and there may or may not also be fat grafting depending upon each patient’s unique circumstances. The goal of both the Brazilian and the traditional buttock lift is to create a rounder, more lifted buttocks.
Some people choose to have other procedures in combination with a buttock lift. Breast augmentation, breast lift, or thigh lift can provide a more comprehensive makeover. Combined procedures can be safely performed while taking full advantage of the recovery period.
